That's what the two-wavelength feature is supposed to do. I suspect these laser gizmos are going to be on the losing end of any arms race though. Could be, batteries contain volatile substances and some will explode above a certain temperature. I think the operator would already be cooked by the time it exploded though.On Star Trek, if a phaser overloaded it would cause a huge explosion. These phasers are much bigger. If they overload, will they explode?
