I on occasion carry my S&W 60 or my Glock 26 in a pocket. I know there is great debate on if a 26 is a pocket gun and I am good with that. The weight doesn't bother me. I know there are those who pocket carry either of these. What pants have you found that have deep enough pockets for pocket carry? I want to stay away from the 5.11 style pant. Something in a basic khaki or blue jean would be great.

Those CCW Breakaway pants are just exactly what I'm looking for when I cannot wear anything else....absolutely awesome for me. Draw times are excellent in the video as is concealment...this is a system I can move and shoot to live in!

Thanks for the link to that, dprice!!

Oh yeah, I carry my G26, my Beretta Px4 and my Ruger LCR in my front Levi's jeans pocket and they don't print..the weight does not make an issue. Works great except the draw while moving laterally. I'm a firm believer that it's all well and good to have the gun but you have to be able to move/draw/shoot if the situation warrants you skinning it.

My draw from a pants pocket is not good - Those Break Away pockets would allow a sub 1 second draw to moving point shot which is something I'll never pull off in Levi's. Even Relaxed Fit with modified pockets have a mouth too small to get a combat grip on the gun and draw without the "Monkey Trap" phenomenon that I encounter.

I gotta have a couple pairs of them. Too cool.

I've got some Carhartt Twill Work Pants that should be ideal. http://www.amazon.com/Carhartt-Mens...488&sr=1-1&keywords=carhartt+twill+work+pants The pocket is deep enough to swallow my entire hand, which makes it easy to get a full grip on the gun on the first try. It is also made of a heavier material than is usually found on pants pockets. A variation on this pant is made of a little different material and has a thigh cell phone pocket, but the front pockets aren't as deep. Now I just need a pocket gun. :D

The issues I think you are going to run into are pants sizes. When I was my heaviest at 267 and a 44 waist size. I could find jeans all day long to shove my Glock 23 in my pocket behind my fat leather wallet (prevented printing). Now I'm back down to a size 36 and I need suspenders to properly wear my 44s and it's gotten on the verge of ridiculousness how they fit and look.

My suit pants oddly enough are great for carrying my Rossi 462, SP101, XDS .45, and on occassion my Glock 23. I've bought about a half dozen pairs from the local thrift store (I've seen folks driving hummers shop there and I at least drop off the clothes I find in the storage units I buy) and they are by and far the best for concealed carry. So much that I now typically wear a pair with a machine washable dress shirt and sports jacket (thrift store bought for eight bucks or less). It's an odd look for a 29 year old but no one seems to really give me a bother which is great because it also lets me use my shoulder holster and carry a large semi automatic as well.

Do yourself a favor, clear out your closet for clothes that don't fit, visit the local thrift store (Goodwill) and do some pants shopping after you drop off your clothes. It might feel weird to have money and be buying from Goodwill but you can balance your karma with the fact you are also helping create jobs for the folks who work there as well. Just my suggestion.

Usually when people talk about putting a G26 in a front pocket - they leave out the part of not having it holstered.

I use to wear Carhartt now it is Duluth Trading. You can carry almost anything in the Duluth but I do not have to worry how I am dressed. Jeans will print on me and I have found cargo type are more flexible.

Wrangler Ripstop Riggs.

I only pocket carry a Kahr now though and it works with just about anything.

The concept of having a pistol in my pants pocket that has no external safety and not having the trigger completely covered makes me shiver. No, really. :what:

A Glock in the pocket without a pocket holster?? That's a recipe for disaster in so many ways it just makes me freak to think about it. But I'm sure a bunch of folks do it. :uhoh:

I can't stand change or keys in my pocket- I don't know how you guys do it. Give me a good leather pancake holster any day.

I think I'll switch from blue jeans to overalls... all the time. They have very large loose pockets and built-in suspenders. Pocket carry will be easy.
