Okay, so I figgered, it's been a while since our last meet. Nobody else is taking the initiative, so I am.
I would like the High Roaders in Northern Virginia to have a little get-together later this month. My personal feelings are that July 24th is the best date. Any other suggestions?
The way I see it happening:
About noon, meet at Bull Run Shotgun range, get in some rounds of wobble trap and five-stand, or whatever is open (I'll try to make some reservations there, if possible). Then, lunner (between lunch and dinner) at whatever restaurant seems like it would be good. Then, NRA range for pistol and rifle.
Bull Run does rent out shotguns, including youth shotguns, for a fee, if you don't have one of your own. NRA range doesn't rent guns, but I'm sure all of us are willing to share. NRA range does charge a fee of $15 a person per hour if you are not a range member, and Bull Run charges per round. Both places sell ammunition if you forget your own.
Anybody have any suggestions, or wants to say they can go, or whatever, please post. Actually, I'd like it if a week beforehand I can get a good estimate of who's going so I can see how many groups we need to split into at Bull Run.
Also, not only NoVA THR'ers are invited. Anybody else who wishes to come is welcome to join us, including members' children (if they can shoot; we don't want young'uns wandering about, bored, on a firing range) or members who are children (parent or legal guardian necessary but not provided), but I have a feeling we won't be getting too many Californians.
