reloaded some 30/30 shells...first time in batch mode with a Lee hand reloader kit....of the 15 shells i reloaded, 5 of them do not want to fully chamber in my 30/30....any ideas?.....

i also have another 30/30 and was able to chamber them fully in that one, crazy....

i have checked the specs and both good / bad spec out within 1000ths of each other....

.30-30 is one of the only rifle cartridges that I recommend a Lee FCD. Make crimping a seperate and last operation after seating the bullet. You also need to re-look at your loading procedures with .30-30 cases. They are the most fragile cases out there and can be damaged real easily when reloading them. Make sure you are trimming them to the same length after you resize/decap them. Make sure you are FULL LENGTH resizing them and that the die is set to touch the shell holder. The .30-30 case is slightly tappered and if you collapse the case near the shoulder even slightly they will not chamber fully.

Lee hand reloader kit....
If you are using one of the orginial Lee-Loaders that requires a hammer to operate, you can only neck size the cases.

It would be uncommon if they would fit in two different rifles.
Especially 30-30's.

Those guns have very springy actions, and the stretched brass needs to be full-length sized before it will fit in every 30-30 that comes along.
