Not your money no worries eh?

I am not sure where you have the idea that because robbers are after money at a store that anybody else considers themself worry free. Robberies are always dangerous for those present in such situations.

Where this might be more relevant is in looking at where compliance works or not. Everybody complied but the clerk Sam who claimed to not speak English. He didn't comply and it appeared to piss off the robbers and the two on the ground got shot even though they were complying. Of course, the robbers may have been planning on killing everyone anyway. Who knows?

In about 13% of the cases, folks who comply still get harmed. That means that in about 87% of the cases, compliance does work. This is just a great example showing that compliance on statistically means you will most likely come out without physical harm, but that statistics don't mean squat when you are one of the few that end of harmed or killed.

Well one thing is certain, you cannot impose your will on someone by lying down at their feet. If someone is immoral enough to brandish a weapon during a robbery can you really trust their word when they 'say' they will not harm you?

By virtue of the fact that a criminal pulls a gun and commits a crime with it is proof enough that they have no morals, and as such cannot be trusted to weigh if you live or die.

Placing yourself utterly at the mercy of the merciless may be a bad survival plan.

I live in Nashville, Tn. I work in Madison. This clip is a robbery that occured .5 mile from where I work. The "punk kids" that did this were arrested about .5 mile from where I live. This was the fourth such event near my work place. The first three were within .2 mile...in fact two sites can be seen from the parking lot.

Thats why my boss, myself, and two co-workers carry at work. Can't just trust every person that walks in the front door.

I've never been caught in a robbery. I don't think its a good idea to depend on the benevelance of thieves.

Did they not load the revolver to the max?

I don't see how they ran out of bullets. They had a shotgun and revolver.

I'd like to think that if I'm found dead at the scene of a robbery they are going to find one of my hands burnt and the other with the goofballs blood under my fingernails, from grabbing the firearm with one hand and goofball's neck with the other. They should also find one of my shoe's missing and that the goofball didn't get very far. I don't think anyone is going to run very fast with a size 15 shoe shoved up their *******.

I'd like to think that but I honestly don't know what I'd do in that situation. If people were more likely to fight back then we'd have less of these goofballs thinking that they are going to get any money and get out alive. Doesn't help when honest people are disarmed by the government that is supposed to protect our life and liberty.

I'm reminded of a few other threads I've seen in this forum. One where a shopkeeper complied and was shot execution style. Another where the shopkeeper pulled off some martial arts kungfu and chased the goofball out the door. Then a couple others where the shopkeepers opened fire on the goofballs that shoved a weapon in their face. The people that fought back had a better chance of survival. This time one guy fought back but still ended up dead, at least he went down fighting as best he could.

Many of these thieves expect compliance. So much that incompetent ones will often run away at the first sign of resistance. A certain group of skyjackers relied on our compliance to kill many people, citizens of not just our nation but of many. After that we woke up and realized that compliance is not the best answer for survival in the air. We need to make that same realization while on the ground.

Pharmacy Owners fight back in Salt Lake Area

A Pharmacist had been robbed several times for Oxycontin. So he fortified the setup of his drug counter by raising the floor where he works, bullet proof divider with a hidden gun.

So another guy trys to rob him but the Pharmacist pulls his gun after taking cover and the BG runs away. Except the Pharmacists son thinks his Dad is hurt and chases the BG down with a golf club in his hand. He tackles the guy down the road and holds him for the cops.

Sorry, I don't have the site info anymore.

That means that in about 87% of the cases, compliance does work.

In 80% of cases where a gun is used defensively, NOBODY is hurt, not even the bad guys. That sounds a lot better than compliance, doesn't it?

You should never resist an armed robber because everyone knows that you can always trust in the good judgement and better nature of a jonesing drug addict who takes things which don't belong to him through the use of deadly force....

One thing to consider, depending on how you view your covenant with society as a whole (nothing wrong with a "me first" world view mind you, matter of personal philosophy) is that if you are presented with an opportunity to resist and do not, while you may walk away from the incident, there is no telling how many future victims of the same criminal may not.
