Back from Bosnia, somewhere in TN
Well, the journey started almost a year ago when surfing GunBroker from a small forward operating base in Bosnia, I found a good deal on a used Delta, which was sent off to Yost-Bonitz in August, while I was still in Bosnia. I returned in November, and now the Delta has returned. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with every aspect of the transaction with Ted and Lew, they are both artisans and gentlemen of the highest order... thanks guys. Well, enough of my gushing... I wanted to share a pic of my dream gun, the object of my affection for several years now, finally realized, in my hand, in one fine hunk of steel. It might bring a smile to your face, but it won't be as big as mine!! :evil:

Better than I do... :rolleyes: Just one big hole at 7yds... kept everything in the B-27 head pretty easily at 25... hopefully I'll get a chance to bench it a little and let a shooting buddy of mine (one of those human Ransom Rest types) to really wring it out. Also, I have to qualify to carry it on duty Saturday, (being a reserve deputy has its perqs... the regular line deputies get Glocks! :p ) Man, does it look sweet in a duty rig...

The crest is the modified unit insignia of the Dinara Division, a group of Serbian paramilitary volunteers that fought against the Nazis AND the Communists in WWII. They and other Serb partisan groups ran an "underground railroad" of sorts for Allied airmen downed over occupied Yugoslavia, and are said to have saved at least 400 of them by seeing them back to their own lines. Unfortunately the units' identity was sort of hijacked by Serbian nationalists during the recent unpleasantness over there, and now has a very different and not-so-good connotation, especially among ethnic Muslim Bosnians and Croatians (who sided with the Nazis during the war anyway, BTW).
Anyway, while over in Bosnia posted up near the Serbian border, we partied with the locals, some of which swore up and down that they were members of the Dinara Division, and we didn't argue with them. We bought a few rounds of pivo (beer), and the next thing you know we're members of the unit... :rolleyes: Well, I figured, whether real or not, any group with the stones to stand up to the Nazis and then the communists is good enough for me. I took the image from one of the t-shirts they gave us (literally off of the back of one of the guys), and the guys at Gungrips.net put it on a set of Alumagrips for me... thanks guys!
Thanks again for the kind words... and maybe you guys and gals can help me out... this gun really deserves a name... :evil:

A 10mm Auto with a Serbian partisan crest on the grips...how about "Force 10 from Navarone?" :rolleyes:
