Though I've belonged to the NRA for several years, I've had mixed feelings about this slogan, since I'm not one to quickly embrace strangers as kindred spirits, just because they too own firearms and also support the obvious leader in defending 2nd amendment civil rights.

But after listening to the president and his minions try to pin the blame for Sandy Hook on me... I now have this to say in response...

I AM THE NRA!

What say you?

I've been a member for many years. I am SICK of being portrayed as a "nut"..."criminal"..."killer in waiting'. and other backhanded slaps from those that don't care for firearms.

For several reasons I'm thinking of going to a lifetime membership. A way of making a more firm statement of my 2a support. I think both of my sons are members as well.

We are all three gun enthusiasts, shooters, plinkers, reloaders, hunters. Basically just plain "gun people"

So, yes, we could say "we are the NRA" as well.

When folks bash the NRA I say, 'I'm not responsible for that tragedy.' They say, 'not you, the NRA' I say, 'That'd be me.'

Hopefully Friday will be a good press conference/statement (whatever it is) something we can rally around. All I can say is write your politicians and let your voice be heard.

More than ever I am the NRA. Not a perfect organization(are there any?) but definately the most effective protector of our 2A. You know that they are doing something right when the likes of Bloomberg and Feinstein harbor such venom towards them.

I AM THE NRA --------------through and through. I must hang around with like minded folks as I have yet to be bashed for my beliefs in the NRA by anyone I personally know. Either that or those that know me well know that to try to change my mind would be an act of futility
