Nut Case or Ploy? Man w/gun arrested in DC

This just in; somebody from North Carolina was protesting the gun legislation at the Capitol and was arrested for carrying IN DC!

So I'm wondering, did this guy not know about the existing DC law (even though he was protesting in support of 2nd Amendment) or is he trying to set up another Supreme Court case somehow? I can't see anything but bad coming out of this.

Hmmm. I wonder if they'll use the, now infamous, NBC anchor magazine incident as a precedent to help defend this guy. Either way, this is a good example of knowing the laws where you carry.

The mag case would make for an interesting equal protection argument.

I have often wondered if the fact that DC is not a state could somehow factor into a defense. E.g., there is no State Law against concealed carry, so you revert to the constitution, which also has no law against concealed carry.
