Obsessed with Camo? Anyone else?

I have a certain interest in it for the sake of amusement. But I think some of it is just over developing a concept for capitalist means. On a military level I see reason for improvement. But I have killed a lot of animals wearing denim and flannel. I’m going to do a Dazzle AR or Shotgun one day. It’s a geometric pattern of flat lines. It was made so as to confuse enemy vessels as to which direction or what type of vessel they were looking at. I also like Rhodesian cami but it was co-opted by folks with extreme perspectives. Home spray jobs on jeeps an trackers don’t hurt either if done right. I’m going to do up a rat rod street-off road car at some point for fun also. But it’s not an obsession.

There was a time when I didn't believe in bothering with camo, stuck with earth colors.

Now after some close(r) encounters I'm a fan:

IF nothing else I figure it masks the blood that I'm constantly kneeling in while dressing game out. In prep for my MT hunt this fall and an elk hunt in WY I'm getting some lighter weight kit. Decided on KUIU in this pattern:

I went with more "greenish" due to wanting to use it here for archery and ML. My more brown-ish (late season camo) stuff is heavier due to temps.

At one time I quit bow hunting from tree stands and went to the ground because of the time it took after work then I
started doing it full time until rifle season, then back to the tree stand.
Never had private property to hunt on back then, just National Forest.
My wife came up with an idea to make me a camo type ghillie suit, it was really a breakthrough for me.
It helped me blend it better and open up without blocking my shooting lanes with cover in front of me.
A real ghillie suit looked too thick for bow hunting and would hinder the draw and anchor.
I guess it really gave me more confidence than an actual contribution because movement is a dead giveaway
except sometimes they didn't see an actual image.
I shot one buck at 2 yards, right in the face with a muzzle loader and a doe right off the end of my bow
as it came around the tree I was using. The doe was a lucky set up, the buck actually saw me move
and came closer to see what I was, just a 4 pointer but to me it is a good memory. Sounds like most
people here would never have shot an immature deer.
Those were great years to look back on.
Basic camo is good enough, I have been caught beside a logging road with only a simple short ivy
bush for cover and sit in front of it as 7 does feed up to me and slip away, and yea, I was wearing blaze orange,
the does went past at about 3 yards,,,, just don't move at the wrong time.
Here is most of my old camo she made from military camo net and yarn.

The top picture was my wet weather hunting gear, surplus German rain jacket and matching overalls. At about $60 for the pair from Sportsman's Guide, was the least expense Goretex I could find.

The second one is an issued shirt I've held onto for nostalgic reasons.
