In the book put out by Gun Digest titled Assault Weapons, there is an article put out about guns that never quite made it. There is a weird Gatling gun looking thing, the Colt All American 2000, and this rifle that looks roughly like an MG-42 crossed with a Sten smg, and it took M-16 magazines. I beleive it was called the "low maitnance rifle" or something like that. It looks like a Very interesting design, does anyone know more about this rifle? from what i could get from the parts diagram, i could not even tell if this rifle fired from a closed or open bolt. Would making a Copy of these be legal? it looked EXTREMELY simple to make.
