Oil or grease on new AR15...

Slip 2000 EWL is great!! Just ran a 5 day instructor rifle course and I purposely only lubed on the first day to see how the rifle would run. Just finished cleaning the rifle and the lube was still there,doing its job. Great stuff!!

Love the lube threads. After trying various lotions and potions at $3.99 and up for a mere few ounces, I settled on Dexron synthetic ATF at six bucks or so for a quart. Been using the same quart for a while on all my guns and haven't even made a dent in it.

I am very happy with my mixture of 50/50 Mobil 1 and Marvel's Mystery Oil. Some seriouly slippery stuff.

be sure to clean your gas tube every once in a while. (with the long pipe cleaners)

This is bad advice, not to mention completely off topic. There is no need to ever clean the gas tube, and you certainly should never stick anything inside it like pipe cleaners, that just runs the risk of getting something stuck and then you will have a problem. If you really feel the need to clean the gas tube, shoot some powder blast or brake cleaner in from the receiver end, followed by compressed air, and clean anything out of the bore that comes out of the tube. But like I said, it's completely unnecessary.

Back on topic: I use slip 2000 EWL for all my firearm lubrication needs, it's the best I've tried.
