OK to suppress a West German P226?

I've heard the old stamped guns don't have the life expectancy of the newer milled slides. Will hanging a can on the old girl significantly add to wear and tear?

Has anyone dropped the factory threaded barrel into one? How did it work out? I see Silencero is making one now too.
 
It's fine to suppress a west German 226. Mine has had no issues - just make sure you follow recommended intervals for replacement of parts like recoil springs and roll pins.

I wouldn't have any qualms about using either of those barrels. Note that most of the factory barrels I've seen are metric threads which is something to consider depending on what thread pitch (or boosters) you have.
