Went to one today, and although there were the usual *** snickers at some pricetags, (like $290 for a beat-up Polish P64 and $150 Nagant revolvers), I did find one deal from an older seller, box he'd just taken out.

Taurus PT 92 AF, hicap 15rd mag, beautiful condition, just dusty, for $220.

Not too bad a price, I thought. When cleaned up, the finish was absolutely flawless, no holster wear at all, and it has the nice Brazilian walnut grips. Barrel nice, everything. Seemed like a decent deal, with it being same-state, so no transfer fee. I see the same thing on gunsamerica and such for $400 or more, regularly.

And it does feel really nice in the hand. :D Solid chunk of metal.

Good Snag!

But how was the China Made Daggers and Beef Jerky venders doing? What was the price today of the Used WWII ammo cans?

Just Checking? LOL!

Had the same experience last year, spent a few hours cruising a good show, didn't find anything, then picked up a PT92AF for $250 with a couple of extra mags. The more I shoot it the more I like it. I took a small file and enlarged the slot in the rear sight, both on the sides and made it deeper, and find I can shoot it a whole lot better. Mine had tiny little sights and the front sight filled the whole gap in the rear, which I couldn't shoot well at all. I also picked up some Hogue rubber grips for it which helped.

It's 100 percent reliable, and I have a couple of 17 round mags for it, so lots of ammo capacity. With good ammo it makes a pretty good bedstand gun and I use it for training people I take out to teach to shoot, at least those with large hands.

Since the Taurus PT92 has a frame mounted safety and will do cocked and locked, its trigger ends up being much better than the Beretta's is, since you never really need the DA pull.

EDIT: I really like the cheap gunshow knives since they are servicable and I lose or break from abuse most of mine. Knife is not a prybar or chisel, but if that's all I have when I need one, I'll risk the cheap knife. I could teach "primitive Pete" a thing or two :)

My early 1990's vintage PT92F has a less than desireable trigger but even with that handicap it is still fairly accurate.
