Sir Francis Bacon once quoted, "Knowledge is power," so I am putting together a small library of guns and ammo magazines for future reference. However I am missing a few issues. I need the first half of 2003 from January to May, and August. Also, I am missing January to May, July, and August of 2002. I have been making a topical index of just about everything in each magazine for future reference. I called Primedia and they said they only have back issues from a year ago. The local library doesn't "give" them away when they are through, they recycle them. I have looked on ebay and have found nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions. Perhaps one of you guys may have old issues just laying around that you've been needing to get rid of. PM me if you're interested in contributing to my research project. I will pay for shipping, etc.

Sorry, I pretty much stopped reading them by 2003. I might have an issue in that time window since I sometimes buy old copies at gun shows. If I do I'll let you know.

I have been saving and storing my gun magazines for years. A member of my gun club gave me all his old American Rifleman magazines from December 1967 forward to 1989 years ago...Very neat to see those old mail order ads from the pre 68 GCA days. They are a wealth of knowledge. I am keeping all my G&A, Shooting, Guns, Soldier of Fortune too...Now I refer to it as a reference library but my wife refers to it as part of my being a pack rat. Tim

Let me look. If I have them I may be willing to part with them - no charge other than the shipping you offered.

I'll also take a look since my wife told me that I need to clean our house up and get rid of some of my junk to make room for the baby stuff.

Keep us posted on what you still need. I have a whole boatload of old G&A's dating to the early 90's, boxed up. When I get a chance, I'll go through them and see if I have any you're missing.

I'm still coming to a dead end on finding any of those issues. I have a contact at the local library but I'm not sure if they will work with me. They tend to be of the less conservative persuasion and this type of magazine would not benefit their interests. I appreciate all you guys for taking a look for me.

I'll have a look for you too; I just found a big box of old G&A's in my father's attic that need a new home.
