Several years ago I picked up an Ithaca 37 from my dad. He received the gun from a guy who literally went crazy and couldn't have fire arms any more.
So... the crazy Ithaca is now mine... The thing about this shotgun is that the barrel is just plain weird.
Its a standard 12 gauge barrel (stamped full) , but it appears that its been modified and that the bore has been widened. (see pictures)
First off.. can I assume that this is not factor?
Second, why would you do this?
Third, I want to hunt with this gun, but the pattern spread is really big in its present form.
The serial number puts manufacture circa 1953. so I need a used barrel. any ideas on where I can pick one up for a decent price?
thanks!
