Well the plastic "life" of my Bianchi speed strips has run out. After 20 years of securely carrying the spare ammo for the snub nose 38 it would appear that all of my speed strips are starting to crack and crumble. Guess I'll have to order some new ones as I have always liked how they are an unobtrusive way to have spare ammo and I can just stuff them in the change pocket of my jeans .

Use to carry my Charter Arms Undercover in a Bianchi Model 9R shoulder holster and a couple of Bianchi Speed Strips in my left front pocket. Thought it was "State of the Art" for concealed carry back in the day!

I use a speed strip which can hold one more round than my revolver needs. I then load them as pictured below. In this example, the strip can hold 6 rounds, but the pictured S&W 642 only holds 5 rounds.

This arrangement allows me to easily grab the speed strip with my index finger hooked in the empty slot and my thumb along the back of the strip above the cartridges. I find it makes it easier to retrieve from a pocket and gives me better control as I reload.

Place 2 rounds in the cylinder and peel them off, repeat...

You are welcome.

I agree with edmo01, I carry my spare .38 ammo the same way. I find it easier to load the single last round without another next to it.

Took them out shooting and one just came apart during the reload. Ordered new ones from Midway (on sale :) ) when I got back in the house.
If I get 20 years use out of them that will, probably, be more than enough.

Funny. I had two crack last week. Thinking back, I think I bought them at a gun show while dad was still alive. He passed in '79.
