I've been reloading since 1979, starting with the .38 Special and a Lee Loader. I moved on to loading nine handgun cartridges and three or four rifle rounds with a Lee C and a Turret press. I loaded a lot of .45 ACP with LRN bullets back when I shot bowling pins in Central Lake, MI every year. I was also shooting HP then and loading most of my practice and match ammo.
I had my lead levels checked about five years ago and they were normal.
I didn't cast bullets and some of my reloading was with FMJ .30 caliber bullets, rather than lead slugs.
I've always been careful to wash after loading, and after shooting.
I may have the test done again this year, although I haven't been reloading as much due to the cheap surplus 9mm and .308
available now.
