Older hi-power

Today i was offered a browning hi-power, good condition with some small rust pits on the muzzle end of slide. The blueing is pretty good and has 1-13 round mag. I checked the serial number on brownings web site and it was made in 1967. The asking price is $350. Be an older gun does it have any collector value or just a shooter. How is the price.

Considering the fact that you have a "T" series gun. There is a Letter "T" in the serial number the price is a steel. Run, Run, Run to this deal and throw the money at the man as quickly as possible. The gun is worth about $700 to $1,000 dollars. They are actually worth it because they are actually that good.

The "T" series was the finest High Power ever made in the history of the World. A first class trigger pull, outstanding accuracy, and reliablity, flawless workmanship and it had 100 per cent quality materiels used in its construction, no junk castings, sheet metal, aluminum or plastic were used in its construction.

You cannot compare this gun to later made High Powers or compare it to any other brand 9mm save maybe the super expensive Sig-Nuehausen P210.

Pass this one up and you threw away the chance of a lifetime.

Actually the gun belonged to a guy i work withs father. He told me his father bought it new 7 or 8 years ago, fired a mag through it and put it in a case where it has been every since. When he brought it in for me to look at i knew it was older so ran the s/n to find the date of manufacture. I have always wanted a hi-power but never picked one up, looks like i found that pot of gold huh. I will inform him this morning that i want the gun but probably wont get it till monday morning. Thanks very much for the help guys, my first post onTHR paid big.
