Once fired
My experience shows that once-fired is ok, but be sure you're not geting cases that have been reloaded, and had excessive pressure. Recently I picked up some 308 cases with very loose primer pockets caused by someone pushing the edge of the envelope. I had a jam in my semi-auto, and burned a circle in my bolt face from loose pockets. Didn't do any permanent damage, but I'm much more careful now.
