Just let this person know if the evil, bad, warmongering, meat-eating George W Bush issues an executive order that says anyone who shoots a liberal automatically gets a presidential pardon and a trophy, plenty of people would line up to do it.

That might just be enough to wake him up to what the 2nd Amendment is really about.

The whining leftwingers are very lucky Bush is not as bad a person as they portray him as. Otherwise he might just try something like that.

That is exactly what the 2nd is for. The "well armed lamb" of sorts

People like this who want to be held by the hand and guided from the cradle to the grave really irritate me. If he has lived in the US for 40+ years and still cannot grasp the concepts freedom, self reliance, and individuality he should slink back accross the "pond" and serve tea to the royals.
+1. It is frightening to think of how many Americans think this way. I think I'll have another *talk* with the Grandsons this holiday to reinforce their understanding of our rights and the attendant responsibility to defend them.

To bad history is has proven to be hostle to his line of thinking. 100 million dead in the last 100 years.....one would have thought the brits would have learned lessons in the 1940's.......sad.....

I wonder if his fellow Britains feel the same way now, after recent events across the pond? After all the people of Britain have effectively been disarmed, and to what benefit? Their crime rates have soared higher than before, and just recently they suffered up close and personal attacks on their soil by terrorists. Had one Britain been armed on that bus, perhaps only one or two people would have lost their lives instead of the senseless destruction that did occur. By allowing themselves to be disarmed they have in effect, said to all of the bad people in the world,"here we are, come murder our people, inflict terror and fear upon us, because we will not fight back!" This individual, whoever you might be, should be extremely thankful that you live in a country where we have the freedom to protect ourselves not only from foreign threats but from any domestic ones as well. Because of these freedoms, we are a people not afflicted with fear, we are willing to do whatever is needed to protect our families and neighbors. That is why those brave souls aboard that plane over Pennsylvania stepped forward to protect their country. Obviously this individual has not learned what it is truely all about, even though the facts are directly in front of them. I say this to you, OPEN YOUR EYES!

They just smile and say" "Can you imagine how bad it would be if someone hadn't had the foresight to ban guns?"

Do I want the government to have a monopoly on force? You betcha! Those we elect and appoint to protect us need to hold all the cards. The time at which officialdom might abuse such a monopoly is miniscule when compared to the daily slaughter of Americans by Americans throughout the land.

Time magazine did an article on just who died by guns in one day. Most were suicides and inner city scum killing each other. If you remove both of those groups, gun deaths drop to nothing. Funny how the liberal main stream media ignore that fact.

DING DING DING...

...We have a winner!

jsalcedo, I wonder what will become if all firearms were indeed banned and taken away? Would they next take away swords like they are trying to do in Australia? Would knives, clubs, rocks and martial arts be banned next? Governments cannot ban everything, man has killed man from the begining of time itself, if you try to take firearms from the populace you will only be responsible for millions and millions of deaths. When Hitler came to power the first thing he did was to ban and confiscate weapons from the public. Once he had that control of the populace, he was able to inflict murder upon millions of innocent people. So in fact, by the very virtue of what you have said puts you in the same category as Hitler himself. If world domination, genocide and the such is what you desire then perhaps you should aline yourself with such organizations as the Nazi's, Al-qieda, the Taliban, and the UN. We have no room in America, LAND of the FREE for your type. Perhaps America has been too lenient in who we allow into our country, and we need to begin deporting those that are not loyal to this country. I really cannot believe some one that shares the views of Hitler would honestly post on this site. You truely disgust me, and you should be deported from this country immediatly.

Dear Lover of Gun Contol

If you love gun control so much, why don't you move your arse back to Britain? If it wasn't for the United States.....you'd be speaking German now......That's what p_sses me off so much about people. Rather than come to this country and comform to our ways....they want us to comform to theirs......

That's just like something that happened near where I used to live. A family had commercial chicken houses on their 100 acre farm for over 30 yearss. Then some slick developer built subdivisions all around the damn thing. All of a sudden all the new homeowners petitioned the local goverment to shut him down. "The smell is awful"........they said. Well DUH-HUH!!! You bought a damn house next to a chicken farm!!!! Aw Hell.....I'm too pissed to go on....

What a maroon! But I guess this person would not have agreed with declaring independence from King George.

I know Hitler was elected. And I guess Pol Pot, Stalin, Idi Amin, Saddam Hussein and others were either elected or appointed.

desert_scorpion, jsalcedo was not the guilty party in that. He posted the thread, but did not do the best job of indicating who said what, in a clearly understandable format. It's kind of hard to tell if Charlie Reese, Jackson or jsalcedo is speaking. The guilty party was this English dude, John Paul Jackson, writing in the link jsalcedo provided at the bottom of the post.

Actually, this might work if ALL weapons were banned, all citizens were monitored 24/7 and the authorities were available to respond within seconds or minutes.

Works so well to keep violence out of prisons.

Dude I was joking about how ridiculous the brits are in their attitudes and making fun of the fact that no matter what happens they will always support gun contol.
