So until i get my CCW (which is kind of a pain since my place of residence is different than my current duty station) I want to carry my weapon in as obvious as a place as possible. Right now i have a SERPA holster with the paddle attachment as a holster along with a generic shoulder holster that will fit the smith everything else is for the M9 i carry on duty. Any suggestions on a comfortable OC holster?

Have you tried the SERPA? If so, what do you find lacking (or uncomfortable) about it?

Does the SERPA have a belt mounted option?

If you get something else, do you have a budget or limit? A preference for kydex or leather, a certain minimum amount of retention/number of retention devices, etc?

I settled on this for open carry. Safariland 6360. I have a SERPA, a couple of Galco COP 3 slots, and a Simply Rugged Tribute. Of those (all OWB), that Safariland is my favorite for a pistol of this type.

I have a SERPA and I have been using it but now I am looking at the addition of a TLR-3 to add to it. As of june 2nd ive got a order in with Armordilo concealment for a kydex holster to fit the M&P with the light and will probably move to concealed carry after i get back from the next deployment.

(sorry for the late reply and thanks for the help)
