I have two of these cases holding my collector status knives , here is one I opened today, just a cell phone shot before I took each one out in turn and wiped with a micro fiber cloth soaked in Ballistol. I will use my Macro lensed SLR digital cam to get shots of the blades when I get a chance. 3 Bauchops in the black nylon sheaths at lower left, 4 Fowler blades in lower right , the two to the left of smaller Fowlers are a Randal Smithsonian Bowie from the early 70s and a custom 14" Tanto from an Arizona maker who I forget, a Martin of Texas Hollow "rambo " type survival knife with a beautiful Fowler Skighn Dbh to the right , moving up we have four wonderful Sam1911 made knives and on the upper right are two deadly little Polkowskis.

the Mad Dog collection is stored in a briefcase sized diamond merchants case, no rust on those, just a wipe with the cloth tho. This collection is worth a few times more than the other two rifle cases of knives combined. I haven't shown the other rifle case yet. It will take time to photo inventory in high def all the knives, they are out in the storage container which has a dehumidifier fired up now. There are lots of guns too, which are even harder to keep up their value.

Very impressive collection! Would be greatly appreciated if perhaps you could take photos of some of your knives outside of their respective sheaths, if get a chance. Thank you for sharing.

I am a big fan of Sam1911 work, his Seax mirror finish is much admired by me when I pull things out and I have used his Camp Defender alot, So is Stephan Fowler's "confederate dagger" he made with my input. The Alley Cat by Bauchop is downright scary, all his are superb really. But I guess if push came to shove the favorite knife to strap on and mount my Harley into what evr comes is the Mad Dog Rezine 2000. I have slaughtered quite a few different live stock withit. I have sliced Thanksgiving Turkies with it and many a hundredweight of beef at Bar B que. It is big enough to do the deed to anything and gets a lot of respect when I pull it still looking almost new and tell askers it is a $3000 "cheap looking kitchen knife" 9" and very light for 1/4" stock, single edged too :)

I have an Alley Cat and a Shaman in my collection as well.

BTW, is that case foam lined?

Oh my, did you just say you were going to whet appetites? Someone is feeling punny.
Sorry, couldn't resist! Pretty knives though, and I wanted to get a little alert when you took more photos, so I had to post something!

Foam promotes rust since it holds moisture. I use foam long gun cases to transport instead of store knives and firearms, but even then I toss a desiccant pack and a z-rust capsule in the case. For storage I use climate controlled spaces and wool or synthetic "fleece" after coating for storage.

If I had to pick a favorite from the knives you have shown I would go with Stephan Fowler's Confederate Dagger. A beautiful, functional work of metal art. Thanks for sharing.

Yes a Patton Sabre , The Sgian dubh is a nameless Northern California Tinker. With it's Ebony handle , Ostrich skin covered sheath and convex blade profile and w4 steel mirror polished it turns out to be the best of it's lind I have ever seen. It is "better" than the larger one I commisioned Stephan Fowler to do , for my needs.

several "little stabby things" but for me the Randall 6" Arkansaw Toothpick with the carmel colored handle is the stabbiess . :) It has an incredible needle point! The point is sort of fragile I guess but it is an 01 Randall from the 70s and would go thru a body pretty easily . It is scary for me to handle it, a very cruel tool !

Patton Saber is in excellent issue condition

The brown patina is the original finish ! the only corrosion is inside the handle where sweaty hand trained with it !

Thanks for sharing, nice looking collection. The only "rare" knife I have is a one off M.W. Seguine my granpda brought back from Alaska in the late 60's.
