This notice goes out to every gun, ammo, and accessory manufacturer within and out of the US. Our many state and federal governments have made it clear that their near term goals include disarming the legal gun owners of this nation by taking away semi-auto firearms and standard capacity magazines. Here is my proposal: stop any and all current and future orders to any department of the federal government, any state that has or plans to enact an AWB, and any city run by [any mayors on this list](http://www.mayorsagainstillegalguns.org/html/members/members.shtml). How will you sell all that excess inventory? Every single gun store across the nation is bare. People are turning out in droves to buy up any semi-auto firearm and related mags, ammo, and accessories. You can run inventory through distributors and get top dollar instead of bid down bulk government prices. We win, you win, and those who would see the people disarmed will find themselves in the same hole. This benefits everyone, you will have guaranteed sales, constant demand, and constant profit. Ronnie Barrett took this stand with the state of California and his business is making millions and so will yours. Other manufacturers have already started taking on this policy and we ask you to do the same. Stand by us and we will stand by you.

Only in the cities and states that are perusing or have enacted AWB style laws.

Those folks have contracts to provide those materials and they don't exactly have a completely free hand in deciding not to honor those contracts.

Ronnie didn't have a contract that he was required to honor so he didn't put his company at risk.

How can they do this without risk if they have a contract?

I can understand being legally obligated to fulfill current contracts, but not all contracts are ongoing and many have exit clauses. I'm not saying do anything illegal, just do what can be done.

The exit clauses without penalties are in the government's favor and not the company (with the exception of natural disaster and fire clauses).

And the Constitution is the biggest contract which they are threatening to break.

Fight fire with Fire.

We are a minor buyer compared to gov/leo.
This is reasonable for smaller/custom companies, but the big companies have no choice.
Don't make them choose between them and us. We will lose.

Other than a call to action how will this be organized to get commitments/cooperation from manufacturers?

Best I can hope for is that people in the industry would see posts like this and write letters to their LEO/State/Fed customers that are SPECIFICALLY participating in anti-gun legislation and telling them they will no longer accept any contracts or extend current ones.

How will this get organized?

I have posted a copy of my letter/e-mail to the Activisim website. I posted a call to action with my Gun Club's website (along with why and my rationale), it was distributed to the members of my club. I have discussed this with members of a pistol shooting league (not at my club) and am trying to gain cooperation in writing the manufacturer's when not petitioning my elected representatives. (When your US Senators are Schumer and Gillibrand, you don't need to waste much time with them.)

This fits with my political persuation of libertarian/conservative. Use the power of the purse to perfect change. The free market is a powerful thing and it can work for us! The Internet enables us to disseminate information quickly and on a wide front.

Won't happen. They make way too much money off the Government contracts. Last think they want is to have their contract terminated for cause and get disbarred from Federal contracts.
