Opinels w/ Oversized Handles For Customization

I just learned that some Opinel knives are available with oversized, unfinished handles. They are intended for the many Opinel customers who like to customize the wood to their own taste. The knives are otherwise fully assembled, and the handle is already slotted.

Apparently these are fairly new to the US market. If you google "Opinel Ebauches" you'll find a few vendors who offer them.

Yep; the oversized handles just give you a little more leeway.
