I inherited a '68 Win 70 which was fitted with a Redfield 3-9 scope. I have no idea of the model number, but it had a 'squarish' rear eyepiece. The damned thing is a tack driver, but the optics are staring to fog and the reticle is fuzzy or flaky-looking (as I said, '68). I know that Redfield was shut down at the time I acquired the rifle, and hence the scope, but I was curious as to whether the 'newly reopened' modern Redfields were as good/better/worse and I also tinkered with the possibility that they would look at the scope and perhaps spruce it up.
Any ideas/suggestions/stuff-I-don't-know would be appreciated.
