I'm sure I'm being paranoid here, but I want to make sure that my experience is along the same lines as the rest of ya'll here.

On the 1st, I ordered 2 500-Round packs of "canned heat" from Georgia Arms. I got an email confirming the order shortly after.

Now, it's only Tuesday morning, but I haven't recieved a tracking number yet. I can understand that it may not have shipped yet, that's fine. I emailed the folks at GA very early Monday (like, 4 AM early) asking if they could write me back and just confirm everything is on the up and up, but I've gotten nothing back yet.

I know I'm being paranoid, but am I being TOO paranoid? I'm not trying to be all crazy, but I've had my credit card # stolen online before, and after I submitted my oder on their site I noticed that the little lock on their page was showing up as broken on my browser and I just want to make sure I don't have to worry about my info being out in the open anwhere.

I'm just over-reacting, right?

Hah. Fair enough. I just get hella worried, having already been through the nightmare that is credit card theft. Any little thing sets my spidey-sense to "Oh Crap!"

Thanks for the reply.

Georgia Arms has a lot more to lose by stealing your card number than whatever your credit limit is.

As previously posted, I have dealt with them and they are reputable.

Chill. :neener:

I'm not disputing their reputation, I believe that they're on the level and reputable. My question was more from the standpoint of wondering if I should try to contact them again to let them know I had a wierd thing happen with the SSL on their order page. Because if there is an issue, and they don't know about it, then they should because it could cause them problems and I need to start contacting my credit company to make sure my credit wasn't compromised.

I am chilled, but thank you. :)

it took a couple of days for me to recieve shipping confirmation.

then about 2 more days to recieve the ammo after that confirmation

They did not bill the credit card until after delivery of the ammo.

Just watch your account if possible. You should be getting shipping confirmation today or tomorrow and will likely have your ammo by saturday at the latest.

Next time, consider buying from Ammoman. They have really fast shipping and they ship out of Jersey, so delivery to East Coast states is really fast. Every order I've ever placed with them I placed on Sunday evening, it was shipped on Monday, and arrived on Wednesday. I can't complain about that.

for me, with georgia-arms i recieved my ammo in either 4-5 or business days.

But im in south carolina. The prices for what i needed also significantly beat ammoman with shipping.

RNB65 - I had my options narrowed down to either Ammoman or Georgia Arms before I actually ordered, and Georgia Arms was actually cheaper than Ammoman, including the $20 shipping GA charges.

500 Rounds .45 ACP (cheapest Ammoman had) = $139 - Wolf
500 Rounds .38 Spl (cheapest Ammoman had) = $119 - Fed

Grand Total, inc. Shipping (free) = $258.oo

Compared with -

500 Rounds .45 ACP FMJ (GA Cannned Heat) = $122.50
500 Rounds .38 Spl LSWC (GA Canned Heat) = $92.50

Grand Total, inc. $20 Shipping - $235.00

Savings = $23

Coupled with the fact that the Wolf from Ammoman is steel cased, so I couldn't reload it if I wanted to, whereas the stuff from GA is reloadable. Good stuff.
