I'm looking at the GunGrabber law study, but, of course it's not complete:

If I want to buy a rifle from a dealer in Oregon, what do I need & what paperwork is done?

Must be 18 years of age to purchase a long gun

Be a resident of the state of Oregon or surrounding states (some exceptions made for a few other states)

Be a US citizen or permanent resident alien with proof of residency (6 months utility bills)

Valid ID that matches place of residence

Not on probation

No legal entanglements pending

No restraining orders

No felony arrest

Not deemed mentally defective

Background check required at gun shows and at FFL dealers. (other restrictions apply)

More restrictions in the fine print.

Must fill out for federal form 4473 and pay $9 to the state for a background check.

No waiting period
