Seems Outdoor Life has it's annual ratings for
cities that best suit "sportsmen" meaning of course
their categories

#1 Lewston Idaho think it's gun friendly? CCI
Speer has the plant there... ATK Industries also owns
Federal. Only major town in the central ID panhandle
WOrld class hunting, - whitetail, mule deer, elk black
bear, cougar, and fishing, as well as world class river
rafting/camping. Anywhere to the north and NW is coyote
country. Lewiston is at the confluence of the
CLearwater river from the east, and from the south
is the SNake river coming out of Hells Canyon.
Take a Jetboat ride up H.C. To the west on the
Wash. State side is Clarkston WA. One feature not
obvious, unless you look on a map, there's no freeway
it's State two-lane highways, E-W is US 12 and 195/95
to N. - Spokane/or S. to Boise

I live 25 miles north, member at Diamondback shooters in
Lewiston. There's a Lewiston Gun show every spring and again
the fall. - Still some nice places The Sporting Goods store
a block from Diamondback has decent prices on ammo, but msrp
on only new guns.
