So I've been reading up on the Magpul P-Mag. It's apparently the best thing since sliced bread. I was wondering what the chances of seeing a P-Mag for the M14/M1A in the not-too distant future would be?

I'd quote the Magpul Marketing Mantra, but I don't have it fully memorized and I'm still groggy.

Don't hold your breath.

but notice that Magpul is in the process of building the Massoud, a M14 killer.

Man I REALLY hope so. It looks to be all that and more. Sure hope that one comes to fruition.

Of all the "Stuff" Magpul has done and talked about doing over the years this one really looks spectacular.

So they're still working on it? Last I heard, they only had a prototype with a bunch of machined parts...
I wonder what sort of calibers will fit in the Massoud... plus, will Bushmaster hop on board of this too? If so, I hope they don't mess with the name.

It's pretty much what one would expect from a lightweight 308 battle rifle carbine. I look forward to putting a case of ammo through one in a variety of conditions and applications. That will tell me a lot more than just cranking a few rounds through.

As for the P-mags, I'd like to see it happen.

With it being light weight, what did you think about the recoil? Excessive, or did they make a good compromise between weight and recoil? I guess what I'm really trying to ask is "was it easy to get back on target for quick follow-up shots?"

I wouldn't say that it will never happen, but notice that Magpul is in the process of building the Massoud, a M14 killer.

That rifle appeals to me even more than the ACR because I am unhappy with the choices of rifles in .308 (not so in .223/5.56). The FAL would be great but it has one huge flaw, mounting optics is difficult.

Just saw the two most recent vids of the Massoud on youtube.
This could be because of the user, but it doesn't look like it produces all that much recoil.

I'm curious as to how accurate it'll be, what with being a gas-piston rifle.
Seems to be far more suited to sports-utility than long-range target shooting or long-range hunting.

I wonder how much it'll be priced in comparison to the Masada.

Bushmaster ACR/Magpul Masada's big bro, chambered in .308 Winchester... and, hopefully, a whole mess of other calibers too.
