I was trying out my new Walther P22 today. Nice gun and pretty accurate. I did encounter a consistent problem that has me puzzled.
The first round chambers by hand-racking the slide just fine, fires with no problem and ejects the round as it should.
The second round does not chamber. It does not get jammed, does not stovepipe. It's simply never grabbed from the magazine when the slide moves forward, after ejecting the shell from round 1.
If I rack the slide by hand round 2 chambers with no problem.
I sometimes have the same problem with round 3, but not too often.
After the first 2 rounds have been fired the gun chambers, fires, and ejects the remaining rounds without a hitch.
I can't figure out what would be causing this. It happens about 99% of the time. The serial number has the "L" prefix of the newer P22s, and the magazines have the "A" suffix in their model numbers, so they are all newer versions.
Any ideas?
