Just took home my NIB sig P228 this afternoon- it has hogue grips on it from the previous owner. And for some reason has regular silver screws that really stand out against the otherwise black gun.
So any idea where I can buy original screws(I didn't even really think about this till I got home...)?

I kinda like the contrast!! Anyway different strokes for different folks

well then are the stainless screws the ones to originally come with the gun?

I admit I just assumed the previous owner lost/replaced the original black screws...if it came w/the stainless ones I'll just keep them in I guess and save my $ for more ammo...

The stainless screws are not factory standard, except maybe on the two tone guns. The blued grip screws tend to rust quickly without concientious care (lots of sweat on them, and who wants to put oil on their grips?)

I'll probably put blackened stainless screws or hex screws on my 228 eventually, but I don't know how long the blackening treatment will wear.
