I have a P89 with about 400 standard load rounds through it.
Last night while cleaning it I noticed that the barrel had a thin "ring" of wear on the top. It was about 3/8" back from the muzzle and appears to be caused by the slide. I had to rake my finger nail over it to feel the abrasion.
Also, the guide rod is showing a "chewed" look on one side.
Has anyone else seen this on their P89? If so, did it stop after a period of time or continue to worsen? Should I be worried about this?
