Ordered 2 "build kits" including complete uppers and lower completion kits. First one a month or so ago, came no issues, and they shipped uppper in a separate shipment from lower build kit.

second one, upper showed up, no build kit. Waited. Checked FAQ. FAQ says be patient, but also mentions that uppers usually come after the other guts, so I emailed them. They said send us the info from the original packaging if I have it, with the QA code and info (they also say if I don't have it they will still be able to make sure I get my missing parts). I snap a pic and email it to them. They reply a couple days later saying thanks, and they'll get my missing bits out ASAP.

So the reports of nonexistent email response from PSA CS seem to be exaggerated at least in my case. The uppers look great.

Will update when the build kit arrives.

I just assembled one of their kits for a friend. First time doing so. The components seem decent. No MPI testing on the BCG but otherwise I can't see anything to complain about. Headspace on their 1:8 twist barrel was 1.4646 for the go and 1.4656 for the no-go. That is a nice tight chamber but still functions with good ammo. I am fairly impressed with them.

My only issue is the gas key staking is more like a small dimple on the outside edge. An easy fix. Only one of the four PSA carriers I've bought is like that.

Glad to hear they have a reputable CS group. I have purchased most everything from individual parts to complete uppers/lowers. I have yet to have a reason to contact them and would be thrilled to keep it that way.

Over the past several years i have spent over $12,000 with PSA having only one incident where the wrong upper was sent....resolved quickly to my satisfaction. Recently i ordered several special BCG + 120 rds 62 gr American Eagle ammo, next day i ordered a third however their computer would not accept the three digit code on the CC ( i checked with CU and c ard numbers were correct). It took two days and approximately one hour of waiting on the phone to talk to a human, explained the problem and was told their computer was not compatable with my i pad ( I ordered all $12,000 from this i pad) and besides they do not honor expired sales. I now purchase elsewhere unless something i cannot pass up.....and my i pad and CC have worked without incident. So there are ups and downs to CS, probably depending upon the represenative.

I'm building my first AR; been using Palmetto, and Primary Arms. PSA for the inventory, and Primary for shipping speed, very fast (Big Tex to Lil Rhody in 3 business days).

I emailed them about a year ago on a manufacturing / quality assurance issue with a BCG. Metal cuttings left in the bolt that could have jammed the firing pin, resulting in a slam fire. (Luckily I tore the BCG down for cleaning and lube before dropping it into a new build.)

I sent pictures and a detailed description. All I received back was a one line response saying CS would forward the email to the appropriate person. I expected a followup email, or maybe even a phone call, from PSA, but I never heard another thing from them....left me feeling that they couldn't have cared less and that I had wasted my time sending the email.

I've been a customer of PSA for years and have been fortunate to never have any issues with them. All the products I've ordered arrived on time, in good condition, and all parts accounted for. PSA has definitely stepped up their QC and shipping.

The fastest shipping time I've received from them is 5 days from time of order to time of arrival. That is some fast shipping!

I have bought way to much stuff from them the past couple of years...lol, too many great deals. I have never had a problem until now with any of their products. I purchased a 308 upper with bcg and it will not shoot a group better than 6to 8 inches. I have never had a rifle that inaccurate. I have another 308 upper from them that is accurate. I have had good luck with CS through the email process and they have taken the upper back to assess the problem. I will let everyone know how this turns out. BTW no luck with phone method of contact. I understand companies cannot afford the staff's of workers needed to spend all day on the phone so that does not upset me. Those of you who want good phone response would not like the increased prices that would necessitate.

I've ordered the psa branded D&H mags, and had no issues thankfully.

However, I've always been reluctant to purchase an upper, bcg, or lower from them.

To be clear, I think they're capable of putting together good rifles, uppers, and components. I've just heard too many issues from them with cs ranging from good to terrible. I'd feel better if I knew they put out good stuff consistently with good cs to consistanly make it right if there's an issue. Reports like 1K, Coloradoshooter, and Magnumpwr's certainly seem indicate that things are improving. Hope so! I'd like to see psa do well.

I'm glad they helped you 1KPerday!

If you are in a hurry you might want to look elsewhere, otherwise they are great.
Have to agree. I've ordered a lot of my parts for my first AR build from them. They've always sent the right goods. Aside from slow shipping, I'm a happy customer.

I have had one good purchase followed by three bad items and no customer service. I emailed and called about a bad BCG. Turns out the bolt was oversized. A guy emailed my that would send a return label. Never got it and they did not answer any more emails. Could not get a call answered either. Other items were out of spec too.
