240 days form Sent to Approved for the latest batches of paper forms.
That would put my machine gun at 7/2, but look how fast the trend is accelerating?

The graph seems to jive with the ATF letter posted in the other thread. If the ATF is really knocking off backlog at the rate of 8-10% per month, I'm sure we'll see it show up in the form 4 graphs.

I'm sort of waiting on the E-form system to come back online to submit my form 4, but if paper copy times keep decreasing, they might become the better route. The big indicator will be if they dip below the historically typical 6 month line, if so we might be headed for some good times.

IMHO the bigger issue is will E-form form 4 come back on-line before Obama gets his minion to force fingerprints, photos, and LEO sign-off on trusts.

I'd get a paper one in the pipeline now.

Historically typical 6 month line? Really good time???

It was 60 day average until 2009, then averaged 90 days until the end of Q1 2011.

Next you are going to tell me the chocorat is up to 25 grams!

You got me, I should have said the 6 month time frame that has more or less been the minimum paper form wait for the last 3 years. If the ATF could get back to the 60 days they averaged before their throughput exploded, that would be great. I'm just afraid that where there's not a will, there's not a way, the graph seemed content to hang right at 6 months so long, it has to make you wonder.

For the record, I'd classify any wait under 4 months as good times, just like I'd classify gas at less than $3 as good times. Both would have been rediculous in bygone years, but times have changed and expectations have shifted... For the worse no doubt.

Nice regression analysis Arizona Mike. Just got a stamp that took 10 mos, 3 more waiting but they're actually giving approval ETA dates now. Efile was a good idea (I have a form 1 processing on it) but they've pulled all the forms except 6 and 6A, citing site chaos (it was cluster anyway - took me all day to file a form because the site kept going down for "maintenance") and "review period." At least it saved my progress each time...
