Today is the 64th anniversary of an event that we should never forget. God Bless to all our fighting Men and Women, then and now!

Be sure to fly your Flag Today.

Correct.

December seventh, as in "The day that will live in infamy". I had the honor of participating in ceremonies for the fiftieth anniversarry of the japanese surrender during one of my "trips" to Pearl. Just being there is a moving experience. Have a great uncle who rests in the hull of the Arizona, was honored to meet a survivor of the Arizona while in Pearl that time. Worth remembering, worth going to see.

Grandad's 82nd birthday, too. He was on TDY to Ft. Sill when it came over the radio that Pearl Harbor had been attacked. Grandad was told about it and promptly replied...

"Oh... Where the hell is Pearl Harbor?"

I grew up in Hawaii while my dad was stationed at Pearl Harbor. I still remember seeing the bullet hits on the buildings and the (now repaired) bomb hits at Hickam field. I've spent a few 07Dec mornings on the Arizona memorial too.

One of the friends of our family (passed in '98) survived the attack & WWII. He eventually settled in Honolulu, but never set foot in Pearl Harbor again.

God bless them all

God bless all those soliders that have, and still do risk (or have given) their lives to protect the few freedoms we have left in this country.

My grandpa was at Pearl Harbor too. He took men & carried them to the hospital. He never talked about it. My dad only found out after Grandpa died. He was talking to my grandma & it came up somehow. He died when I was 4 so I don't remember him very well.
