Perfect day at the range

50 degrees, and perfect! I took a shooting buddy, my Son and his friend out for a few hours to shoot, and check out my .308 loads. The weather was perfect, but tomarrow its supposed to snow, so we gotta take the bad with the good. We all took turns shooting my RRA 9mm, My buddies Ruger 44 Mag, some 22s, my Savage 10FP. Heres a few pics of the outing.

Is this a proper range facility or just a scrap of land where people tend to shoot? It seems kind of makeshift and relaxed. I wish we had some like that over here. Sometimes I feel that ours are so highly regulated and expensive to maintain that it takes a lot of the fun out of it. The British NRA would frown on me for thinking it (stuffy lot) but sometimes I'd just like to set up some clays on a rock and plink.

The range is the local FOP's(Police). Private, no visitors, 300yrds, tubes for the K9s, even an outhouse
