More prepping than reloading, but I did manage to get a few rounds of .223 loaded today. We have been asked to stay home and not drive unless it is an emergency so thought I would take advantage of the snow day to prep some military LC .223 brass that I've been putting off prepping due to it being so time consuming if done right. Which reminds me, those of you reloading once fired LC brass you may want to check the case length after resizing as I had to trim several hundred pieces that were way over max. Here's a photo of what it looked like out my front door today.

+1 on watching your brass OAL.

My Lake City .223 brass grows an average of 0.007" when I push it though my small base RCBS die.

I had to STEP AWAY FROM THE PRESS by mid-afternoon.
I could have kept going, but my wrist was telling me it had had enough for today.

It snowed here too. First Atlanta snow on Christmas since 1882. We accumulated about an inch which, if you know Atlanta, completely shut the city down.

Started out to reload, but 'she who must be obeyed' directed home improvements, which called for the table saw. My dad's old table saw is nice but the blade had been giving trouble going up. So I decided to turn the saw over and lube the offending piece. As it went over-center it dragged me along for a ride, during which my head hit the iron table on the near-by drill press. I ended up on top of the now up-side-down saw, head gashed, legs cut up from the sheet metal saw legs, AND 3 fingers (get this because this is rich) 3 fingers trapped between the concrete floor and the steel top of the table saw. Now the saw is heavy enough with its cast steel top, but add another 200 lbs of yours truly helping to smash my own fingers.

Gee whiz, I'm guess I'm lucky I was killed outright. To add insult to injury, the repair part was $87. :cuss:

Tomorrow I'm simply going to follow your lead and tumble brass all day. No one was ever killed squirting NuFinish. :D

rfwoobly--there are some good authors here on thr.

im thinking you need your easy chair and an adult beverage (delivered by she who must be obayed) to go with a book:D
rather sounds as if the day has had enough of you...

snowing by me & i've been trying to get my new camera and laptop to talk to each other

It is just starting to snow here now. I am just finishing up about 200 45-70 hunting rounds. I will polish them in two batches the next two nights if I still have power after the snow that is.:scrutiny:

It's been too nice here to reload indoors. Perfect weather for shooting if I wasn't working all the time! I've got a '42 mosin showing promise that I just got .312" bullets for an my neighbor's Ruger 22 Hornet to load for. Good times!

Excellent day for shooting. Put a couple hundred rounds each of .223 and 45ACP and a couple dozen .308 down the range today. Rain forecast tomorrow so its time to reload. We've had lots of rain this winter, but the clear days have been fairly warm in the 50's so its good for shooting if its not wet.

We'll take the kids up to the mountains on Wednesday to play in the snow. Man-O-man, I'm glad I don't have to deal with that stuff on a daily basis.

We only have to deal with idiots who want to legalize pot and take our guns away.
