After much searching, I just found and purchased a Cooper Model 22 in Remington 7-08. I am currently loading .223, .308, and 7 mm Rem Mag. My main interest is accuracy. Can anyone recommend a good load? The one hole test target that came with the gun used Sierra 130 gr. Match HP and H-414. No charge weights, primer, or O.A.L. were given. Thanks for any help.

Out of my Rem700 BDL, I have found that lighter bullets work well in my gun. I tend to shoot seirra 120 spire points with 41.8 grns of imr-4320, rem brass, winchester primers, 2.730 col. Probably my best load is 43.0 grns of imr-4064 with a seirra 130 grn bthp with federal primers, rem brass, 2.795 col.

Good luck!

I picked up a 700 Ti, a few years back. Stuck a Weaver V3 on it. I've always been able to get 3-shot group of just inside one MOA with either Remington 139-grain factory or 140-grain SPBT handloads with 48 grains of H414--and right at the same point of aim for either load.

What type of load are you looking for. A accurate hunting load or an accurate target load?

For hunting whitetails I use 140gr Nosler Partitions or Accubonds with 47.5gr of Ramshot Hunter, WLR Primers, Rem Brass and an OAL of 2.775 and sub MOA. These loads are very accurate and are pushing 2900fsp.

For fun and paper punching my favorite load is 120gr Nosler Balistic Tips with 20.5gr of Blue Dot, WLR Primers, Rem Brass and an OAL of 2.775. This load has an avg vel of 2237fsp and will shoot one hole groups all day long. Very very mild recoil, great for the kids as well.

Thanks for the replies. I have Varget since I use it for .308 and heavier .223 loads. Thought I'd try it in the 7mm-08. These are not "best" loads, just the results of some promising loads tried today, the first day I shot the rifle. Win brass and WLR primers. Two bullets tried, Sierra Match King in 130 and 150 gr. 40 gr under a 150 gr bullet shot 2595 fps and averaged 11/16" group. 43 gr. under a 130 gr. bullet shot 2877 fps and 3/4" group. Both loaded to 2.800".
