Recently I offered a set of XS Big Dots in trade for holsters, magazines, etc.. on another forum. My call was answered by Greg Peters of Peters Custom Holsters who offered me one of his holsters for my 1911 and for my M&P 9C in trade. A very generous offer and I took it. Today I received the holsters and to be honest I was a little skeptical of the thin sheet kydex holsters in general but I'm very pleased with the holsters I received. I normally carry my M&P in a Comptac C-Tac holster but honestly the Peters Holster is thinner and more comfortable. My CTAC had to be modified to make it comfortable. The Petes holster was comfortable right out of the box. I will probably put a thin layer of mole skin on the back of the Peters Holster and use it as my main carry holster from now on. I asked for the 15 degree cant and the M&P sits just right on my hip like that. The grip is up slightly so I can get a full grip for a positive draw and the holster is molded just tight enough for good retention but still allows a nice draw. Both holsters came with soft leather (synthetic?) belt loops that are adjustable to fit a variety of belt sizes. I usually prefer the clips but I like the was this one feels with the loops. Overall I'm very impressed. I was honestly prepared to have two more holsters that I will put in my bag with the others but I instead I have two honest to goodness carry holsters that I will actually use. Good Job Mr. Peters.

Throughout the deal Peters explained to me that he is a small operation and has basically grown his business through word of mouth. There are a few posts on the Ohio Concealed carry forum and I haven't found anything negative about him or his business. He has a website and sells his holsters for about 50 bucks. He seems to have a really quick turnaround on orders and I like his product a lot.

Jon, I don't presently own a 1911, closest thing to it I guess is my Sig P220, so I can't use the info you posted. But I just wanted to acknowledge and shout a huge AMEN to your signature block!!!! I'm mighty proud that I also can't be counted among the so called "experts"!!! You said it all!!!

Yeah, that came from the constant nonsense posters use to discount anytime you have a different opinion than they do. They say, "YOUR not an expert, I'm quoting an EXPERT." I've found that EXPERTS are normally self proclaimed. I am NOT one and I'm proud of that fact.

Back on topic though, I think Greg would make a holster for your P220. I haven't carried my 1911 in my Peters holster yet but I've been carrying my M&P 9C in the holster I got from him every day since it came in the mail and I am very, very happy with it.
