I have some photo's downloaded into 'photobucket'.
I need to know exactly step by step with NOTHING omitted from the explanation on exactly what step's I take to get a picture from photobucket to a post on this forum.
Any help would be appreciated. It look's like THR's picture posting machine has gone South for good..Thanks....
 
If you post the photobucket link here, i will look and see if i can help, but if it happens I can't, I bet other guys can.
 
Ok,

It's beyond easy. On photobucket, where you have your pictures, underneath each picture there are four boxes, first is Email & IM, second box is Direct Link, third box is HTML Code, fourth box is IMG Code.

All you have to do is click once on the IMG Code box and as soon as you click on it it will highlight and a little yellow box will pop up by your cursor that says "copied".

Then simply come here to your post and when you are ready to insert your picture in your post just right click your mouse and hit paste.

It will show up as a string of code but once you submit your post they will show up as pictures. Super easy.

Hi GotC...

The Photobucket link to copy is the "direct link" under the photo. Make sure you copy the entire thing.

Then open a message blank here and click on the little square (yellow) with the mountain in it.

That will open a small box that already says "http://" in it. ERASE that part and then paste the "direct link" in the box.

Then click "Ok"

Then go down beneath the message blank and click on "preview post". It should then show you the message with the pic in it. From there you can edit more or just click on submit.

God, I just HATE when computer type guys tell me how to do things. They skip about 1/2 the steps...."But EVERYBODY knows how to do that...."

Look chief, if I knew how to do it, I wouldn't be asking....so

1)...Sign in at photobucket...

2)...if you look under each picture, there are four lines

email

direct link

HTML

IMG code (this is your image code)

3)...using the Edit function on your tool bar, copy the entire IMG code. Highlight the IMG. Click on "edit". Go down the box and hit "copy".

4)...paste it to your message that you're typing. The program here knows that it's a picture and will automatically bring it up like this

Nothing is going to solve the "photo problem" until the new hardware is up and running. I's never fun to wait, but that's the way it is.

We have gone through worse - and survived... ;)
 
Hey, everyone of you were right. The picture came in good.
Not talking bad about them because I like this forum and lot's of the people I'vd met on here, but I think this is a better quality picture than THR ever put out, bless their heart..
If ya'll want to you can go to the thread 'My Cabela's Pietta Remmie Arrived' and check it out. I posted one of my older '58's on there. I didn't order one but it just seemed like a good place to post a photograph of a '58..
Ya'll are good people, I swear ya'll are. I couldn't get that figured out for love or money. Thanks again....

Man, I'd never had my fingers on a computer until about a year ago. I'vd been studying and I'vd got to where I can use it pretty good for some things but every day I run into stuff that totally loses me.
You're right. These people that sell them to you act like you came out of your Mother with a laptop under your arm. Beat's all I'vd ever seen.
Well, they're all just sitting around waiting on all of us old folk to die and get out of the way I reckon. I'vd got some news for them. I plan on being here when Jesus come's back....
