Pink ear muffs?

I feel silly using my first post for this but...

My fiance and I are purchasing a 9mm semi-auto for home defense and possibly concealed carry (Nebraska's CCW law goes into effect Jan 1 2007). She has more experience with guns than I do, but we both know that we'll need plenty of practice and that safety is paramount. She loves the color pink and said she'd like a pair of pink gun muffs to wear at the range. I've checked a few online vendors but it seems like black is the most common color, with a few in blue or red. Does anyone know where I can get a decent pair of pink ones, preferably 25db attenuation or better? These will be coupled with foam plugs as well. Thanks!

And yes, I am serious. She'll shoot without pink ones, but if that's what my lady wants...

Unfortunately the ad doesn't list the NRR for the Kid EarMuff (and -1000 for shows pic with the kids pounding nails without eye protection.) So I doubt they have what I would consider a high enough NRR for shooting ( I prefer at least 28dB+.)

The Junior Earmuff for ages 7+ and women only have a NRR of 22dB.

I'd recommend using foam plugs also.

Wildhunter, I think krylon will be my only choice too. I'll have to look at some and see how easily I can take them apart or cover other parts for spraying.

I'm surprised they aren't on the market. Or, if they do exist, I'm surprised they aren't marketing better. There is obviously a demand for female-oriented products. Magazines, holsters, and training all have female-specific products available. Even Taurus has that pocket pistol with pink grips. Hey gun and accessory manufacturers: Just because a woman owns a gun doesn't make her butch! Some ladies want "girly" things, like pink ear muffs, magenta holsters, and purple range bags.

One of my other hobbies is motorcycling (which I'm unfortunately on hiatus from). Harley-Davidson makes plenty of female-specific riding gear (I'm not talking bras and baby tees). Another manufacturer, ICON, has an entire line to appeal to the female sport rider. Pink and purple leather jackets, all that fun stuff.

Not sure how you did your search for them but try looking at construction supply site's, automotive racing supply site's etc.
I know Peltor makes plugs in all sorts of different colors, not sure about muffs though

The best thing is that they are the antithesis of tactical! I'd be deeply concerned if my fiance requested black BDUs and a kevlar helmet to go to the range with.

Besides, a lady needs to feel feminine when she's filling a target with hot lead, right?

Ive never been concerned about my wife feeling feminine while shooting (although, after reading this thread maybe I should), I have only been concerned that she wasnt picturing my face on the target she was aiming at
