Can someone please help me identify these magazines? I picked up a few of these in a package deal and I have no idea what they will fit.

A couple of them have a Cobray emblem. They measure 8.25 inches and are tapered from front to rear. The rear is wider than the front face. They appear to be 9 MM steel magazines with steel followers.
The rear face has a shallow rib which runs the length of the magazine. This rib has a notch about midway which obviously fits a magazine catch. There are no other provisions for a magazine latch.

I would be very grateful if someone could identify these magazines for me.

Thanks for your help,

Ken

They look like they'd fit the M10/M11 series, but without trying them in a gun, there's really no way to be sure. The fact that they're marked as Cobray mags narrows it down to those two.

If they have the Cobray logo there is no other alternative than a Mac mag. M-10 is a 45, or possibly a 9mm. M-11 is a 9mm I think and the M-12 is a 380 IIRC.

Thanks for the help.
They are definitely 9 MM magazines. I tried loading both .45 and 9 MM in them.
Are the M-10 and M-11 magazines interchangeable?

What is puzzles me is the MAC steel magazines I have seen for sale on Gunbroker have a second thickness of steel at the top, a rectangular doubler tab welded in place. Possibly to serve as a magazine catch? These magazines do not have that doubler.

Can anyone comment on this?

"Are the M-10 and M-11 magazines interchangeable?"

MAC 10s were chambered for .45 ACP and 9 mm

MAC 11s were chambered for .380

.380 ACP is also known as 9 mm short. It's actually 9x17 mm whereas 9 mm is a little longer at 9x19 mm

In terms of magazine specs I'd say they would probably be swappable with only a 2 mm difference in the intended round. If they're identical externally / internally I'd reckon that the later MAC 11 used the earlier MAC 10 9mm mag to keep costs down. I could, as Doc might say, be 1000% wrong though.
