I am curious about competition hosters, I am currently using a Blade tech Injected molded holster for the diffrent shoots that I attend. My draw times are right around 1.5 seconds. I am thinking about buying the Blade Tech regular Kydex holster although I assume it will not be any quicker. The IM one is simply getting worn out. I am also thinking about getting a dedicated competition rig. I am hestitant about dropping $200 for one. I have also seen the Hogue "PowerSpeed" holster and it is about half the price of simillar Safariland products. Is the Hogue holster any good? What do you guys think of these? I would really liek some help on picking something out and knowing what the actaul diffrences would be. Thanks.

Is the Hogue holster any good?
No. It is a dangerous piece of junk, and it will eventually get you DQed. Or worse.

At the last USPSA match I attended, a gentleman on my squad inadvertently dropped his pistol after the poorly-designed locking latch came unsprung. He was using a Hogue Powerspeed. I've also seen the latch come unfastened when the wearer brushed against a prop - this didn't result in a dropped gun, but it easily could have.

Do not under any circumstances buy this holster.

For race guns, I like the Ghost and Safariland Team holsters. I also like the Blade-Tech dropped offset holster - it's just as fast as the race holsters and much more secure.
