Hi,
I've got a photo of the ram I was fortunate enough to get this year that made it into the finals of a photo contest. I was told this was an active forum and I might pick up some votes here from hunters. I’d appreciate your vote. Or, vote for another photo if you like. :)

Thanks and Good Hunting...

Congratulations on your trophy and best of luck with the contest!

Troy Rhoades beat you. He submitted a photo and asked for THR folks to vote for his. I already voted. Plus his wife is cuter than your sheep.

Smoke :D

Eileen, thanks for your vote!

Smoke, perhaps everyone hasn't voted yet, after all I got at least one vote from Eileen. Cute is in the eye of the beholder...

Cheers,

KJ

Thanks all, it was a great hunt. Fun to share the pic with people that appreciate it.

Good hunting...

Wow! That is one good looking ram! Couple questions, how do you get it out after, pack or guide? What does the meat taste like? I’ve wanted to hunt Dall sheep in Alaska, but only if the meat can be used. That’s hunting 250+ yard shot, damn! Around here I’m lucky to get 125 yards.

GE,

Sheep is some of the best eating on the planet.

Good luck and start saving them sheckles now...

Thanks for the comments and votes!

GE, H&H got it right, sheep is some of the best. I think it's better than elk, and that says a lot. Hey, I would've gotten to 125 yds, 50, whatever if the terrain allowed, but sometimes that's the way it is in the high country. With a good rifle, good rest, practice, those shots are doable. Some people shoot further.

WhiteKnight, Cabela's Outfitter. Works well in open country, above timberline.

Cheers,
KJ :)

edit...oops, forgot to answer one last thing...
GE, unguided, and he came out on my back and that of a helpful friend. Took a trip for the sheep and a trip for camp. I am my mule.
