POI change with EOTech magnifier.

Anyone have have this happen?

I have a 3x EOTech magnifier on a flip to side mount behind a EOTech 512 and when I use the magnifier the POI changes almost 2 inches up and to the left at 100 yards. This is a brand new setup and I'm a little perplexed at this.

Called EOTech, they have yet to respond.

A magnifier just has to have some sort of optical distortion built in, no matter if it does cost 500 bucks!

I'd think the thing to do is sight it in at long range using the magnifier.

Then at shorter ranges where you don't need it, or use it,
the slight POI change without it wouldn't matter in the slightest.

That's about what I did. I have it sighted for 300 yards with the magnifier and like you say, at closer ranges without it, it won't really matter much.

I have it on a new Sig 556.
