Practical/Tactical Norinco AK47 Underfolder

As some of you guys know I recently bought (stole) a Norinco underfolder with the sweetest AK trigger ever.

A few days ago I started to pine for a more "tactical" look and features. So I bought and added the following;

Ultimak tri rail forend
ventilated metal gas tube
Ergo grip
Ergo rail mounted vertical forward grip
rail mount sling adaptor
El Zetta rail mount flashlight holder
Scorpion LED Streamlight
birdcage flash suppressor

The result is a neat little carbine with great balance and control that allows me the use a BRIGHT flashlight, protection from heat, and a folding stock compact aspect.
I had to do heavy modifications to the Ultimak tri rail to allow the folding stock to lock in place.

Before you tell me the little Russian girl is crying or that the Chinese guy wants me to take the ubercool junk from my AK. Be aware all the old stuff is carefully wrapped in paper and stored in a box behind my work bench. No permanent modifications to the rifle have been performed.

Nice! I really like your selection of parts. I'm not into that foregrip, but more importantly, does it work good for you to hold it that far out? Does the rail add much weight?

I think that you'll be happy you stored the old parts, eventually. Most of us put them right back on within months...

Seriously though, very nice AK. I hope x39 becomes easier to get soon, I miss shooting mine more.

Actually I tried the broom handle grips and I like the Ergo forward grip better. It's more of the old Tommy Gun style. If it were not for the folding stock I would have it set a little further back but it is fine were it is. The rail adds some weight but it is a good trade off as I find it increases control in rapid fire. The underfolder AK's bounce around quite a lot due to being very light.
