Prepaid credit card use

No problem with a prepaid credit card other than the fees. A regular Visa/MC credit card is a lot better as long as you can qualify credit wise.

A big NO NO on a debit card. If anything goes sideways, you have little if any recourse and if the wrong person gets your info, they can drain your back account.

No... that simply isn't entirely accurate, as I've dealt with such fraud before, and had NO PROBLEMS getting back 100% of the money taken...

I suggest reading this for current information regarding debit card use...lots of misconceptions and outdated material out there....

Re debit..... I keep enough in non-interest debit to cover bills. Any fraud, whether eventually resolved or not, disrupts and leaves me without money.

That being said...go to the local grocery, pick up a Visa gift card, pay $4.95 and load it with what you want to spend on line. Easy-peasy.
