price check on Browning Double Automatic with Aluminum receiver

Found a price on steel receivers, it's got a vent rib 26" barrel (if I'm measuring right) modified choke. S/N **8425, it has "Twentyweight" written on a script font on the left of the receiver, checkered stock.. and 'gold' inlay word on the receiver.

Just trying to get a rough price...it's in excellent condition, but I haven't fired it yet. Was father in laws, last used in approximately 1962.

can't give you firm price on that gun,but do know that they are in demand by ruffed grouse hunters due to lt.wt. and balance. also, 26" bbl. indicates imp. cyl. choke. quite a desirable shotgun in our area. i also live in stark co. jackson twp. hunted grouse exclusively all over eastern oh. you've inherited a winner! treasure it.

I got bluebook on this from Shotgunworld (I think that was the place).. considering it's nearly in mint condition and from talking with a friend of my father in laws it had maybe 4 rounds fired outta it.....

Oh yeah, BB was topping at 825.

If I had any intention of hunting or even trap shooting, I'd probably keep it. But the wife wants a 'tactical' shotgun for 3-gun matches... selling this would leave enough leftover for a carbine for her too ;-)
