Anyone have a real world price you are seeing these locally for? I don't look at Gunbroker these days for pricing as prices seem to be very erratic. This gun has no box or papers but has had only 8 rounds fired through it. Excellent condition other than one small mark on the barrel. Barely a turn line. The shop wants $499.

If it is truly Excellent + as you describe, that may not be a bad price. Still do a "Jim March Check-out" (per the sticky) on it and particularly check the b/c gap. Low rounds doesn't guarantee good condition, only double checking the factory's work does. Do use feeler gauges; it takes a very practiced eye to judge without them, and check side to side, not just from one side.

Barrel length matters, too. 6" tend to be $50 cheaper on average than 4". The market is in general softer than the last 18 months, so haggling a bit can't hurt. Getting it out the door anywhere between $400 and $500 total would be OK depending upon barrel length and mechanical condition. Less if something is off and needs work/attention beyond your skill set.

Does it have original grips in similar/equivalent condition? Diamonds or plain checkered (I am assuming Magnas if factory).

My name is a thread-killing word.

Been meaning to ask, a Frank Herbert fan?
