So, what is everyone seeing for local gun prices? I was at a Dunhams today and their double stack WASR-10's were marked down to $350 for the weekend. Not a good deal for sure, but they are still claiming "regularly $650" :what::what::what: What got me wondering is that they say the WASR will only be going back up to $380 on Monday. That's still a good chunk less than they have been asking recently. 7.62x39 has been on sale at $5.50 every time I have been in recently. There were similar pseudo-deals on other firearms - Mosin 91-30 marked down to $80 (from $170!!!) and will be $90 or something come Monday.

Just curious, is the market beginning to cool down a bit? Really curious because I really got into firearms when the whole Obama scare was beginning to hit so I don't have a great feel for where prices should be.

BluEyes,

Prices are dropping back toward their "normal" levels, as many predicted they would. Low end $700 ARs instead of $900, low end AR builds for $600, AKs back towards $350-$400 instead of $600.

+1 on Gander "freaking" Mountain charging way high on everything. I only buy from them if every other option is exhausted. :cuss:
Are prices recovering, yes, the "assault weapons" ban is dead, and Obama is to smart to try gun control his first term, the last year of his 2nd will be the time-IMHO you have 6 years to stock up.
